Luton Town Walking Football Club - so who are we? Well we are a bunch of individuals, many Luton Town season ticket holders, who still have a love of playing the beautiful game.
At an age where your pharmacist is on first name terms, and the joys of garden center fertiliser packs, and flora, beckon with increasing regulatory, we've discovered, by some miracle, that those boots still fit and, with a little brush up, new laces an extended lease of life awaits us with a more sedate version of the beautiful game.
Walking football
Walking football was first introduced by the Chesterfield FC, Community Trust programme, in 2011 as an initiative to improve the health of older people in the area. By 2014 the game was gaining wider exposure and appeal. The first Luton Town Walking Football team was assembled in 2015.
